Value Delivered
For the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Center for Health & Healing Building 1 (CHH1), the Oregon division of Dynalectric Company (Dynalectric Oregon) helped OHSU uphold their focus on patient satisfaction as priority number one.
CHH1 hosts a broad range of patients, many with heightened sensitives to their surroundings, so we carefully planned and executed all work to help ensure minimal impact to the patient experience. We kept the construction site as clean and quiet as possible and complied with all OSHU’s protocols and standards.
The project was also completed on schedule and on budget. Throughout over 40,000 labor hours on this project, there were no recordable injuries, and no patient complaints.
Client Objectives
OHSU has been remodeling CHH1 over several years, to improve and expand outpatient services. They needed help with major remodels and re-purposing of five floors, including multiple outpatient clinics and day surgery suites, as well as MRI, CT Scan, Fluoroscopy and X-ray imaging suites.
Solutions
For this project, Dynalectric Oregon provided design-build, renovation, and electrical construction services, using an integrated project delivery model. Each major trade partner was involved from the beginning of the design phase and provided budgeting and constructability input from concept to construction.
We also executed construction through the guaranteed maximum price model. This cost model has proven to be the best value for OHSU, helping to minimize cost changes or overruns.
For OHSU, we’ve completed over 260 large projects and over 3,600 small projects, earning us a stellar reputation for service and reliability. We are their preferred contractor for maintenance and installation of electrical and low voltage systems on campus.
