Dynalectric Supports Go Baby Go in “Adapt-a-Toy” Workshop

For the past 26 years, Dynalectric Oregon has hosted a toy drive to benefit the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), one of Dynalectric Oregon’s most valued customers.

This year, as part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community, Dynalectric Oregon also participated in Go Baby Go’s (GBG) “Adapt-a-Toy” workshop. Go Baby Go, a community-based outreach program, works with families, clinicians, and industry professionals to provide pediatric equipment to children with disabilities.

“We really enjoyed being able to help with the event,” said Dynalectric Foreman Gary Lohkamp. “We look forward to doing more.”

Dynalectric Oregon employees donated more than 50 toys and a number of them volunteered for the adaptation workshop, where they helped adapt toys for use by children with motor impairments.

Gary and his wife can be seen adapting a turtle toy in this video from local television station KGW8, an NBC affiliate.
